Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering graduates to join our Boise, Idaho office in 2027. This is an on-site role, not remote. You will analyze, design, and deliver civil engineering deliverables using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS and related tools.

Responsibilities include contributing to pre-construction design and permitting, solving complex problems, and collaborating across disciplines to help clients realize their visions. Abbott and other software will be learned during training.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited engineering degree by Summer 2027 in Civil/Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering or Engineering Technology.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required by Summer 2027.
  • Degree in an engineering discipline and eligibility to begin a local engineering career in Boise, ID.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
  • Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions.
  • Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations and internal practices and standards.
  • Learn software programs such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS.
