Job summary

Wiley|Wilson is seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join our Raleigh office (also open to Richmond, Lynchburg, or Alexandria). You will design civil systems for site development and act as engineer of record for smaller projects, under supervision of a senior engineer.

The role offers exposure to grading, drainage, utilities, hydrology, field investigations, and construction administration, with collaboration across markets and geographies.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's in Civil Engineering is required.
• Active PE license or reciprocity within three months of hire is required.
• 4–6 years of progressive civil/site engineering design experience with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design civil systems including grading, drainage, utilities, and hydrology for site development.
• Serve as engineer of record for smaller projects and support senior staff on larger efforts.
• Prepare engineering and stormwater calculations, reports and drawings; lead field investigations.
• Support construction administration activities such as reviewing shop drawings and RFIs.
• Interact regularly with clients, peers, and junior team members to drive project success.
