Job summary

Davey Resource Group, Inc. in Kent, Ohio is seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join our growing team. You will work on site development, grading, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure, turning concepts into buildable designs while collaborating with engineers, surveyors, landscape architects and environmental professionals.

Ideal candidates have 1–5 years of civil engineering experience, a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D. EIT is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of civil engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Good communication and teamwork are as important as engineering.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and keep things moving.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare civil engineering plans, details, layouts, and construction documents.
• Work on site development, grading, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure projects.
• Turn concepts and sketches into practical, buildable designs.
• Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, landscape architects, environmental professionals, and other team members; communicate with clients, project managers, contractors, and internal teams to keep projects moving.
• Assist with permitting, plan preparation, technical calculations, and project documentation.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering tools to develop and revise plans.
