Job summary

Coffman Engineers is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer (4+ years) to join our multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will contribute to site development, design of grading and drainage, stormwater and utility plans, and collaborate with architects and engineers across markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited program.
• Registration as an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) required; Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure preferred with ability to be licensed in Washington State.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in site development.
• Experience and/or interest in general site engineering: conceptual plans, construction plans, collaboration with other engineers/architects, site visits, and design support.
• Design skills for site plans, grading/drainage, stormwater, water/sewer utilities, accessibility, and related improvements.
• Effective technical writing and communication skills
• Desire to work with a collaborative team and grow professionally.
• Excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering skills to challenging projects across markets.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
• Prepare site plans and construction documents.
• Support design and construction phases and assist junior engineers.
