Job summary

Garg Consulting Services, Inc. in Rocky Hill, CT, seeks a Civil Engineer - Roadway / Highway Design to lead planning and design of DOT roadway projects.

You will guide design efforts, oversee technical work, and provide construction-phase support to deliver projects on time and within budget. The role requires a PE-eligible engineer with 3+ years in roadway design, strong communication, and expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and related tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred).
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • 3-8+ years of civil engineering experience, including 3+ years in roadway/highway design.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT standards, practices, and transportation design criteria.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation OpenRoads Designer, HydroCAD/StormCAD, and related civil design software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction documentation tools.

We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Engineer - Roadway / Highway Design to join our growing team in Rocky Hill, Connecticut.

Position Overview

As a Civil Engineer - Roadway / Highway Design, you will play a critical role in the planning, design, and execution of roadway and highway projects. This position involves design leadership, technical oversight, construction-phase services, and client interaction, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Roadway & Highway Design: Develop design solutions for DOT roadway and highway infrastructure projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred)
