Job summary

RRC Companies in Austin, TX is seeking a Civil Engineer to develop and review designs for renewable energy projects, including site development, grading, drainage, and foundations. You will perform calculations and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will coordinate with internal teams and clients, prepare technical reports, and manage projects day-to-day using CAD tools to create and review drawings for timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in renewable energy or infrastructure.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
• Proficiency in civil engineering software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Develop and review civil engineering designs for renewable energy projects, including site development, grading, drainage, and foundations.
• Perform engineering calculations, analyses, and simulations to optimize structural and civil components.
• Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry’s best practices.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to align project objectives and deliverables.
• Prepare engineering reports, technical documentation, and project summaries.
• Analyze survey, mapping, and materials-testing data to complete work assignments using computer modelling software
• Create and review drawings using CAD tools
• Ensure sites meet legal guidelines and health and safety requirements
• Deliver civil engineering designs and optimization in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and industry practices
• Day‑to‑day management of assigned projects
• Plan, define project tasks, schedule, and deliver on‑time execution of civil scope of work and project deliverables
