Job summary
Dakota DesignStaff, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Civil Engineer to support planning and execution of large real estate development projects throughout New England.
The role involves collaborating with developers, overseeing third-party engineers, securing permits, and coordinating with planning departments. The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, strong communication skills for public forums, and experience managing suburban development projects from start to finish, including
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering and/or Real Estate Development.
- 5+ years of hands-on real estate development and planning experience.
- Excellent communications skills for public presentations.
- Experience with multi-family projects/developments and working with towns for approvals.
Responsibilities
- Draft Concept Plans and Development programs with lead Engineer.
- Interpreting zoning by-laws and potential changes to zoning regulations.
- Coordinate environmental impact assessments or permits with Local/State/Federal agencies.
- Engage with traffic consultants for DOT permits and off-site improvements.
- Represent the project in community meetings during evenings.
- Maintain ongoing engagement with stakeholders and officials.
- Coordinate utility approvals, permits, bonds, and easements with utility companies.
