Job summary

Dewberry seeks a Civil Engineer/Project Manager to join our Tallahassee, FL office, supporting the Southeast Team on site/civil development projects for public, institutional, commercial and industrial sites.

The role includes mentoring junior staff, coordinating design teams, and ensuring compliance with codes. A BS in Civil Engineering, Florida PE, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MS Office are required.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering required.
• 5+ years' experience in land development / site/civil design.
• Florida PE required.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MS Office required.
• Knowledge of ICPR4/Stormwise preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and with clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead client relationships and manage project scope.
• Oversee site/civil development design for various projects.
• Prepare calculations, reports and spreadsheets.
• Coordinate design teams to develop construction documents.
• Conduct code research and write specifications.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes.
• Coordinate submissions and permitting processes.
• Assist with site plan approvals and cost estimating.
