gpac is seeking a Civil Engineer / Project Manager to join an established civil engineering team in Ames, IA. The role blends design work with project management, offering long-term stability in a close-knit firm with a long tenure among staff.

Qualified candidates will have a Civil Engineering degree, a PE license or the path to licensure within ~1 year, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office. The position emphasizes collaboration and diverse project exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE license or ability to obtain within about one year.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage projects while remaining involved in technical design.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and design a variety of civil engineering projects.
• Develop plans and designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Coordinate with internal team members and partnering companies.
• Manage projects from initial planning and design through completion.
• Work on projects across multiple disciplines.
• Primarily work in an office environment with ~40 hours per week.
• Occasional after-hours presentations as project needs require.
