Job summary

SEH seeks a Kansas-licensed civil engineer and project manager to build SEH’s Wichita municipal civil practice. You will lead project delivery, manage client relationships with municipalities and private clients, and help recruit a local team while expanding long-term local opportunities.

Expect to collaborate with regional and company leaders, guiding proposals, staffing, and quality management to support growth in Kansas. Base compensation ranges from $110,000 to $130,000 with full benefits.

Qualifications

• PE license in Kansas required.
• Residence in or near Wichita with strong client connections.
• Proven track record of managing civil projects.
• Broad technical skills across civil infrastructure disciplines.
• Ability to develop proposals and pursue new business opportunities.
• Strong understanding of Wichita municipal environment.
• Experience leading teams and projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead growth of Wichita municipal civil practice and manage projects.
• Manage relationships with cities, utilities, counties, developers, partners.
• Identify client needs and convert relationships into projects and longer-term accounts.
• Serve as project manager and technical lead for public infrastructure and select private development.
• Develop project approaches, scopes, fees, schedules, staffing, and quality plans.
• Lead proposals, client presentations, and community meetings.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a local civil engineering team.
