Job summary

RICK Engineering Company is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Las Vegas, NV to guide infrastructure for multidisciplinary teams on landmark western US projects. You will mentor staff, manage schedules and budgets, and interact with clients and public agencies to advance site development and drainage studies.

The role requires a BSCE degree, Nevada PE license, 5 years land development experience (or 10 total years), and proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervision of engineering designers (daily work assignments, reviews, quality control).

• Significant experience in client and public agency interactions.
• Preliminary engineering design studies including land use and zoning considerations.
• Preparation/processing of tentative tract maps and site development plans.
• and review of hydrologic studies and drainage reports.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have a BSCE degree, Nevada Registration as a Professional Engineer, and a minimum of 5 years of land development experience or the equivalent of 10 years of total work experience.

The Candidate Must Demonstrate The Following

• Adept ability to establish and maintain strong and positive working relationships with clients and public agency personnel, as well as in-house professional peers

Candidate Experience Must Also Include The Following

• Supervision of engineering designers (including daily assignments of work, review of work, and quality control)

• Preparation of contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work
• Significant experience in client and public agency interactions

Candidate Technical Experience Must Include The Following

• Preliminary engineering design studies (incorporating land use and zoning considerations, assessment and consideration of site constraints, and potential regulatory issues)
• Preparation/processing of tentative tract maps, understanding of final subdivision map processes, preparations/processing of public improvement plans and site development plans for commercial and residential developments
• Preparation and review of attendant hydrologic studies and drainage reports

AutoCAD/Civil 3D Experience Is Required.

This position generally requires extensive experience and demonstrated engineering abilities in all aspects of land development projects and in interacting comfortably and productively with clients and public agencies.
