Job summary

The role requires a PE license (Alabama) or ability to obtain, 10+ years of civil engineering experience, and strong skills in project management, budgeting, and client relations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 10+ years of civil engineering experience.
  • Active Professional Engineer license in Alabama or ability to obtain Alabama registration.
  • Strong background in hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater, and drainage design.
  • Experience with permitting and jurisdictional agencies.
  • Project management, budgeting, and client-facing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design stormwater, drainage, pond, collection, and conveyance systems.
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, engineering evaluations, and cost estimates.
  • Prepare plans, technical reports, permit applications, and supporting documentation.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client expectations.
  • Coordinate with engineers, designers, support staff, agencies, and project stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Support and mentor junior team members as needed.
