POSITION OBJECTIVE

We are seeking a full-time Civil Engineer (PE) Project Manager to join our growing team in Fairhope, Alabama. This role offers the opportunity to lead civil development projects from initial concept and design through construction and final project closeout.

POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage civil engineering projects from concept through final construction closeout
• Design residential subdivision developments and commercial site plans
• Prepare engineering calculations, grading plans, drainage designs, utility plans, and permitting documentation
• Utilize Civil 3D to perform project design and drafting work directly
• Coordinate utility approvals and municipal permitting requirements
• Attend and represent projects before planning commissions and municipal review boards
• Work with clients, contractors, municipalities, and regulatory agencies throughout project lifecycles
• Conduct internal project coordination with survey, planning, and inspection teams
• Review contractor pay applications during active construction
• Monitor project progress and address engineering-related construction issues
• Complete project closeout requirements, including as-built documentation and post-construction verification activities
• Participate in weekly project review meetings and team coordination sessions
• Support quality control processes through internal peer reviews

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

• A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE)
• High proficiency with Civil 3D software-

• Civil engineering experience ranging from newly licensed PE through senior-level
• Ability and willingness to perform hands-on design work rather than strictly management responsibilities developments preferred

• Experience navigating municipal permitting and approval processes preferred
• Ability to present projects to planning commissions and public agencies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
