Job summary

O’Day Consultants is seeking a full-time mid-level Civil Engineer with 5-8 years of experience to support our engineering design team in Carlsbad, CA. You will assist in grading, roadway, site development, and utility plans under a Project Manager, collaborating with engineers, designers and technicians to deliver confident designs.

Responsibilities include preparing project documentation, preliminary designs and maps, and plotting boundaries and easements, along with survey and staking

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited program.
• PE/PLS license would be a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of municipal infrastructure or private development experience.
• Ability to read complex civil drawings and prepare technical reports.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and digital collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare grading, roadway, site development, and utility plans and reports.
• Conduct project property research and preliminary designs.
• Prepare tentative maps, boundary and easement plotting.
• Perform survey and construction staking calculations.
• Collaborate with the project team under PM direction.
