Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Saint Paul, Minnesota office seeks a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join the Land Development team. The role involves site development engineering, project management for residential and commercial projects, and coordination with clients and subcontractors.

You will work on site civil design, permitting, and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D, with familiarity in hydrology and storm drainage. PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Experience with site civil design, permitting, and software including hydrology modeling programs, storm drainage programs, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Experience with task management, concept design, and assisting project management tasks.
• Familiar with coordinating with clients, attending client meetings, and overseeing quality standards.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to build plan sets and other construction documents.
• Design experience that includes utilities, site layout, drainage, due diligence and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for residential and commercial projects.
• Projects will include a variety of land development site designs.
• Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules.
