Job summary

Earles Engineering & Inspection (EEI) is seeking a Civil Engineer with broad general civil design experience to join our growing team in Pittsburg, KS. You will work on land development, subdivisions, grading, drainage, roadways, and municipal utilities, developing designs, plans, and specifications while regularly communicating with clients, developers, and staff.

This role offers hands-on project ownership and direct client interaction, with growth opportunities within a firm with a 30‑year

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Broad civil design experience across land development, grading, roadway, or municipal utilities.
• Autodesk Civil 3D experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; client interaction essential.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Design civil site plans for land development and subdivisions.
• Prepare drainage studies and stormwater designs.
• Design streets and related infrastructure for public/private clients.
• Support municipal water and wastewater projects.
• Prepare detailed reports, plans, specs, and permit submittals.
• Assist in client management and regular communications with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with project managers on scheduling, budgets, and deliverables.
