A growing civil engineering firm is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to support infrastructure, land development, and transportation projects in the Jacksonville, Florida area. This is a long-term career opportunity offering hands-on experience and mentorship in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:- Assist in civil engineering design and analysis for roads, drainage systems, and site development projects
- Prepare drawings, calculations, and reports under the guidance of senior engineers
- Conduct site visits and inspections as needed
- Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D for project drafting and modeling
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using PondPack, StormCAD, and/or ICPR4
- Assist with feasibility studies, data collection, and cost estimating
- Ensure design compliance with local codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Support the engineering team with coordination and documentation tasks
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Ability to pass a basic CAD test
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Preferred:- EIT certification or working toward it
- Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic software (PondPack, StormCAD, ICPR4)
- Understanding of local engineering standards
Position Details:- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Location: Onsite in Jacksonville, FL (not remote or hybrid)
- Overtime: Expected and paid at 1.5x rate
- Job Type: Contract-to-Direct Hire (FTE conversion after ~ 6-months) | Direct Hire also considered
- Background Check: Required (7 years)
