Your Responsibilities
- Perform detailed civil engineering design for land development projects, including site layout, grading, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and utility design
- Support site feasibility studies, due diligence, and zoning/code compliance reviews for a variety of development projects
- Prepare and review design plans, technical specifications, cost estimates, calculations, and engineering reports
- Assist with permitting and approvals, coordinating with local, state, and federal agencies and responding to agency comments
- Collaborate with project managers, planners, and survey teams to ensure projects move efficiently from concept through construction
- Track project progress, manage deliverables, and ensure adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards
- Participate in client, contractor, and municipal meetings, documenting key decisions and follow-up actions
- Provide support during construction, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting site visits as needed
- Contribute to proposal development, scope definition, and client presentations
- Maintain accurate project documentation, budgets, and progress tracking within internal systems
- Actively pursue professional development opportunities, with a focus on advancing within land development engineering
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
- EIT required, PE preferred or on track
- 5+ years of experience, with exposure to site design and land development projects
- Experience with PADEP permitting processes and coordination is preferred.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and MS Office; HydroCAD or similar stormwater modeling software preferred; HEC-RAS experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of grading, drainage, and local permitting processes
- Excellent technical communication skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to safety and a strong understanding of safe work practices
