Job summary

Pinnacle Engineering Group seeks a Civil Engineer Intern to join our Illinois office for hands-on project support and mentorship. You will contribute to design, drafting, and documentation while learning fundamental engineering principles under senior engineers.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and professional growth within a collaborative team environment on land development, transportation, and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field from an accredited program.
• Must have completed at least 1 year of study.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Basic CAD drafting experience: (Civil 3D preferred).

Responsibilities

• Acquire knowledge base and skills through mentoring and self-directed learning.
• Prepare engineering calculations, design elements, basic drafting and technical analyses under supervision.
• Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, reports, and other project documentation.
• Use basic CAD drafting skills (Civil 3D preferred) and office software proficiently.
• Apply established design methods, applicable codes, standards, and procedures.
