A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) invites applications for an Engineer Intern (STEM) in Towson, MD for May–August 2027.

This paid internship offers meaningful exposure to Transportation, Water, Wastewater, and Construction Management projects under senior staff. The position may transition into a Full-Time Junior Engineer role after graduation, with mentoring and a collaborative, ESOP-informed culture.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor or Associates Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, detail oriented person.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
• Experience with engineering software applications (AutoCAD, MathCAD, Bentley Microstation) is preferred

Responsibilities

• Support various project tasks including regulatory requirements/reviews, cost estimates, research, procurement support, etc.
• Perform data entry, management, evaluation, and presentation.
• Support the preparation of reports, plans, and specifications for clients.
• May work on field assignments as needed.
• Will be supported by leaders, mentors, and teammates; and
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary

A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) is seeking a highly motivated and diverse Engineer Intern (STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) to join the engineering team in our Towson, MD location for the 2027 internship period. This is a paid full-time position with anticipated duration from May through August 2027 (flexible) and has the potential to transition into a Full-Time Junior Engineer Role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of engineering staff in the Transportation, Water, Wastewater, and Construction Management groups.
