Job summary

Psomas is seeking Engineering Interns to join our Salt Lake City team. This internship offers hands-on experience in civil and environmental engineering, with mentorship from engineers on real-world projects.

You’ll contribute to design computations, field observations, and documentation while gaining exposure to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation/OpenRoads. Flexible schedule and partial remote work support your learning and development goals.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field
• Interest in infrastructure, development, transportation, water, or environmental services
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and learn quickly
• Previous internship or project experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Support engineers and project teams with design, calculations, analysis, and documentation
• Assist with plans, specifications, reports, exhibits, and other deliverables
• Gain experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroStation/OpenRoads
• Participate in site visits, field observations, data collection and research
• Collaborate with professionals across land development, transportation, water, environmental, surveying, and planning
• Learn how engineering principles are applied to real-world infrastructure projects
