What You'll Do

As a Civil Engineer Intern, you'll support engineers with planning, design, drafting, and project documentation while gaining practical experience across a variety of civil engineering projects.

• Civil Engineering Design Support
  Assist engineers with planning and design activities for mining, structural, municipal, and other civil engineering projects.
• CAD & Plan Production
  Prepare and update engineering drawings and plan sets using AutoCAD Civil 3D, following established project and design standards.
• Engineering Documents & Estimates
  Assist with the preparation of planning documents, engineering reports, quantity takeoffs, and project cost estimates.
• Site Visits & Investigation
  Participate in site inspections, field visits, and investigations to gain hands‑on experience and support project development.
• Team Collaboration
  Work alongside engineers and other disciplines within Psomas to support multiple projects and contribute to successful project delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Current university student majoring in Civil Engineering
• Experience with the latest versions of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous internship or academic project experience in civil engineering
• Experience with transportation, roadway, mining, structural, municipal, or site development projects
• Familiarity with engineering plans, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates
• Interest in gaining hands‑on experience through site visits and field investigations
