Job summary

SSR is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Intern for the summer to work with licensed engineers on real projects, gaining practical experience in civil site design, permitting, and construction documentation.

You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with preferred sophomore standing. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus, and strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Completed at least sophomore year by internship start date.
Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software is preferred.
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in site layout planning, grading, drainage designs, and utility infrastructure.
Help collect field data and perform site investigations.
Contribute to construction documents, technical reports, and permit applications.
Perform basic calculations, quantity take-offs, and material estimates.
Attend team meetings and coordinate with multiple disciplines.
