KPFF Consulting Engineers in Seattle seeks a Civil Engineer with 5–10 years of experience to join our industrial practice. You will contribute to site and infrastructure design for mission-critical facilities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on fast-paced projects across the Pacific Northwest.

The role emphasizes design, permitting, coordination, and constructability, with opportunities to lead design efforts, mentor junior staff, and engage with clients and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• 5+ years civil engineering experience under a licensed PE.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support civil design for industrial campuses, including site planning, large‑scale grading, utility design, and stormwater systems.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoTurn, and other engineering tools to produce detailed drawings and analyses.
• Prepare and review technical reports, drainage studies, and design narratives communicating engineering recommendations.
• Assist with project coordination, managing schedules, budgets, and task assignments for multidisciplinary teams.
• Collaborate with contractors and consultants to resolve technical issues during construction.
• Build relationships with industrial clients by understanding operational needs and delivering site solutions.
