Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers in Seattle's Civil Team seeks a Civil Engineer with 4 - 7 years of experience to lead site planning, drainage, utility layout, and stormwater design across the Pacific Northwest, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients.

You will use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoTurn and related tools to produce drawings and analyses, manage tasks and schedules, and help ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil (preferred) or environmental engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
• 4-7 years of experience under supervision of a licensed professional civil engineer.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Desire and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Familiarity with stormwater hydrology modeling.
• Washington State PE license in civil engineering (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead and support design efforts in site planning, grading, drainage, utility layout, and stormwater systems.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoTurn, and other design software to produce detailed drawings, conduct vehicular turning studies, and support engineering analysis.
• Prepare and review technical reports, drainage studies, feasibility analyses, and design presentations to communicate project findings and recommendations.
• Assist in managing project tasks, coordinating timelines, budgets, and resources to meet deliverables.
• Prepare draft proposals and scopes of work.
• Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams, providing expert guidance throughout project execution.
