Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineer – EIT in Phoenix, AZ to deliver water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will work with seasoned engineers to advance design solutions, perform analyses, and prepare technical documentation.

The role emphasizes ownership of project assignments, collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, and growth toward professional licensure. Bachelor’s degree required and EIT target within six months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 0–2 years of related experience; co-op/internship preferred.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification expected within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Apply civil engineering principles including hydraulics, surveying, geotechnical considerations, grading and utility investigations.
• Develop and draw engineering plan sets using AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley MicroStation.
• Prepare reports and design documentation including pipe design criteria and calculations.
• Conduct due diligence, background research, and data gathering for new and ongoing projects.
• Coordinate with agencies and utility providers to obtain project information and data.
