Job summary

Stanley Consultants is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer-In-Training for our Phoenix, AZ office. The role involves data collection, design calculations, and collaboration across disciplines to deliver water and wastewater solutions.

You will work under senior engineers to develop asset management plans, master plans, and contribute to construction phase services, requiring travel and field assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Chemical Engineering with an emphasis in water/wastewater.
• Must possess a state Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (Fundamentals of Engineering examination).
• Ability to effectively communicate in both in-person and virtual formats.
• Ability to coordinate engineering solutions in a multidiscipline team.
• Strong verbal, computer (MS Office), and organizational skills.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• ArcGIS experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection and analysis for projects.
• Prepare calculations and designs of treatment processes, piping, and pumping facilities.
• Check design computations and quantity estimates.
• Use computer models to simulate real world conditions.
• Develop process and hydraulic calculations for water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
• Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D for engineering design tasks.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, I&C, structural, and CAD teams to support project managers.
• Assist senior engineers in asset management and master planning.
• Support construction phase services including review of submittals and site observations.
• Assist in development of reports, specifications, and plans for water supply, treatment, storage, distribution; wastewater conveyance and treatment.
• Interface with equipment suppliers for specifications.
• Assist in client communications for specific projects.
• Occasional field work and travel may be required.
