Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Five+ years civil engineering experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
• Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Florida Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer.
• Must have a valid Florida driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex professional, technical, administrative and engineering work for environmental, water, sewer, street, and other Public Works projects and programs ensuring technical competence and compliance with all current codes and criteria.
• Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.
• Work is performed under direction with latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment.
