Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting seeks a Civil Engineer III to advance civil engineering solutions in land development. You will lead technical work on complex projects, guide junior engineers, review zoning requirements, and coordinate with clients, agencies, and design teams to ensure successful permitting and project delivery.

You will develop and implement innovative design approaches, prepare plans and specifications, and produce technical reports while managing multiple projects with high quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in land development engineering.
• Proficiency in civil engineering design software such as Civil3D.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans.
• Knowledge of stormwater modeling tools including StormCAD, HEC-RAS, and PCSWMM.
• Experience researching zoning, development standards, and compliance regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Projects).

Responsibilities

• Lead technical aspects of complex land development projects and provide guidance to junior engineers.
• Review zoning regulations and assist project teams with permitting processes.
• Develop new or improved civil engineering techniques and design solutions.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, subcontractors, and design teams on project issues.
• Conduct field investigations, inspections, and constructability reviews.
• Prepare design plans, technical specifications, reports, and contract documents.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.

Civil Engineer III Requirements & Qualifications
