Stormwater Capacity and Spot Improvement Engineer (Civil Engineer III)
Are you an experienced stormwater capital project engineer, well-versed in flood mitigation design, drainage practices, and stormwater infrastructure resiliency planning?
If so, you are encouraged to apply for one of two new Stormwater Civil Engineer III positions in the Department of Transportation & Environmental Services (T&ES) Stormwater Management Division. These roles involve professional and technical work on stormwater capital projects within a project team. The team will implement large, complex stormwater capacity infrastructure projects identified in the City of Alexandria Storm Sewer Capacity Study (CASSCA) and smaller to medium-sized Spot Improvement Projects under the Flood Action Alexandria initiative, which aims to mitigate flooding due to climate change.

Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and at least five years of professional experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
