Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
• 1–3 years of experience preferred, commensurate with duties described.
• A valid State of Michigan Driver License is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of more difficult technical and supportive professional engineering tasks in field and office settings.
• Attend meetings for preliminary plan discussion, pre-construction and other departmental meetings.
• Assist with the management of the Maintenance Preservation Programs.
• Arrange and manage maintenance contracts.
• Review drainage issues with district personnel.
• Manage various budget accounts and contracts.
• Maintain a professional and courteous manner to promote a positive image of the Road Commission for Oakland County.
• Regular and predictable onsite attendance is essential.
• Daily schedule must support RCOC hours of operation.
