Road Commission for Oakland County is seeking a Civil Engineer with a bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years of experience to perform complex engineering tasks in field and office settings. The role requires on-site presence and a valid Michigan driver’s license, with responsibilities including contract management and budget oversight.

Attending departmental meetings and assisting with Maintenance Preservation Programs are key duties.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
• 1–3 years of experience preferred, commensurate with duties described.
• A valid State of Michigan Driver License is required.

Job Duties

• Attend meetings for preliminary plan discussion, pre-construction and other departmental meetings.
• Assist with the management of the Maintenance Preservation Programs.
• Arrange and manage maintenance contracts.
• Review associated drainage issues with district personnel.
• Manage various budget accounts and contracts.
• Must perform duties in a professional and courteous manner to promote a positive image of the Road Commission for Oakland County.
• Regular and predictable onsite job attendance is an essential function of this position.
• Requires a daily schedule that supports RCOC hours of operation.

Special Experience/Education

• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
• One to three (1-3) years of experience commensurate with the duties described above is preferred.
• A valid State of Michigan Driver License is required.
