Salary: $73,110 - $91,109
The City of Marquette is seeking applications for a Civil Engineer - Hydraulics / Hydrology. A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering, and a Professional Engineering License in the state of Michigan or the ability to obtain a license within 6 months of employment is required. Applicants should have broad knowledge of civil engineering principles, standards, and practices, especially in hydraulics, hydrology, and environmental engineering. Proficiency in computer-aided drafting, databases, and GIS is also required.

Manage City engineering activities related to environment, stormwater management, and drainage. Maintain hydraulic models of water systems and assist in permitting processes.
Follow policies set by city authorities, exercise discretion, and coordinate with staff, agencies, or committees as needed. Supervise staff, contractors, and coordinate with outside agencies.
Extensive knowledge of civil engineering, especially hydraulics, hydrology, water and sewer systems, and environmental engineering. Knowledge of state and federal regulations. Ability to supervise staff and contractors. Proficiency with CAD, GIS, and databases. Strong technical report and presentation skills.
Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field, with a PE license in Michigan or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Standard office software, AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, hydraulic modeling software, GIS-based.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., frequent standing, walking, sitting, occasional driving, and physical activities including bending and climbing. Good communication and sensory abilities are required.
