Senior Professional Civil Engineer

Our employee-owned and integrated team of multi-disciplined engineering and design professionals is seeking a Senior Professional Civil Engineer with extensive experience in designing and managing a variety of site design projects across sectors such as manufacturing, industrial, private development, food and beverage, renewable energy, education, and municipal/government. As part of our team, you will collaborate with Civil, Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, and Structural professionals to deliver civil design and project management for multi-discipline projects.

You will be responsible for preliminary and final site design and project management for both public and private projects, including industrial and commercial development, utility infrastructure, stormwater management systems, and campus design. You will have opportunities to mentor less experienced team members and lead project teams, overseeing technical, quality, and financial aspects from conception through construction. Additionally, you will contribute to business development efforts by working with management to develop marketing plans, maintain client relations, track opportunities, prepare proposals, and deliver presentations.

Flexible work arrangement: 3 days in office / 2 days WFH

We are expanding into the Greater Milwaukee area with a new office opening in Spring 2025.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
2. Professional Engineer license in Minnesota
3. At least ten years of progressive technical design experience in site development, including site layouts, grading, roadway and utility design, stormwater management, and permitting
4. At least five years of successful project management experience, with knowledge of the project development process
5. Minimum two years of business development experience, demonstrating success in securing new projects
6. Strong communication, proposal development, negotiation, and presentation skills
7. Ability to mentor and develop team members in technical standards and project management
8. Experience with QA/QC reviews for civil projects
9. Knowledge of working with regulatory agencies and permit processes (FEMA, DOT, DNR, etc.)
10. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
11. Flexibility for limited travel for site consultations and industry events
12. Valid Driver's License with a clean record

Advantageous Qualifications

• Professional registration in additional states, especially Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, South Dakota, and Iowa
• Experience with private commercial/industrial development and renewable energy infrastructure

The salary range reflects base pay for candidates with 10-15 years of experience. Compensation varies based on experience, qualifications, and responsibilities.
