Job summary

M&S Engineering, LLC seeks a qualified Civil Engineer to work in our Substation Division in Spring Branch, Texas, performing engineering and design duties for civil site development and small slab/pier foundation design. Duties include detailing site engineering, creating design documents, and coordinating with clients and team.

The role requires a 4-year Civil Engineering degree, 3+ years substation design experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (emphasis in Site Development).
• Minimum of 3 years post-graduation substation design experience.
• Texas EIT or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire (preferred).
• Texas PE or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire (preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to travel and coordinate with design team members.
• Proficiency using AutoCAD or MicroStation and MS Office.

Requirements

• 4-year degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering (emphasis in Site Development)
• Minimum of 3 years applicable post-graduation substation design experience
• Current EIT License in the State of Texas or ability to obtain the license within 12 months of hire (preferred)
• Current PE License in the State of Texas or ability to obtain the license within 12 months of hire (preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to work closely with other engineering and design team members to coordinate overall design package and requirements
• Ability to travel
• Take personal responsibility and ownership for the quality and accuracy of work product
• Proficiency using AutoCAD or MicroStation and Microsoft Office SuiteAble to simultaneously manage multiple projects
• Work independently or in a team environment
• Must be able to routinely lift up to 30lbs
