Job summary

BL Companies in Miami is seeking an entry- to mid-level Civil Engineer to join our Land Development team. You will gain hands-on experience on residential, commercial, and industrial site development from concept through construction documentation.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering degree, are pursuing EIT, and are comfortable using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. We offer a competitive benefits package and hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• EIT preferred or able to obtain within one year.

Responsibilities

Civil Engineer (Entry- Mid-level) Land Development

Our growth presents an opportunity for Early and Mid‑Level Civil Engineers to join our Land Development team. This role focuses on gaining hands‑on experience in site development projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, from concept planning through construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to develop civil site designs for land development projects.
• Assist in site layout and grading to ensure compliance with local zoning requirements.
• Design stormwater management and erosion control systems.
• Research permit requirements and local regulations to support project approvals.
• Prepare construction documents, technical reports, and entitlement documents.
• Perform earthwork calculations and drainage analysis.
• Support permit acquisition and modifications during construction.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT certification preferred (or ability to obtain within one year).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred.
• Strong technical, communication, and organizational skills.
