The City of Portland Bureau of Environmental Services (BES) is seeking a Civil Engineer (Engineer‑Civil) to join the Construction Management team within the Sewer, Stormwater and Restoration Division (SSRD). The SSRD Construction Management team manages a capital construction portfolio of approximately $80 million annually of municipal sewer and stormwater infrastructure. As a member of this team, this position will administer construction contracts, coordinate project teams, resolve project issues, and uphold the Core Values of the City of Portland. This position works with and coordinates City resources including engineering planning and design, procurement, public involvement, health and safety, testing and inspection, and bureau leadership to deliver successful projects.

A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is graduation from a four‑year college or university with a degree in civil, mechanical, electrical, chemical, structural, traffic or fire protection engineering; AND four years of responsible professional engineering experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
