Job summary

CRW Engineering Group, Inc. in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Civil Engineer EIT with 1-4 years of transportation experience to join a growing multidisciplinary firm.

You will work with a fun, collaborative group, plan and develop designs for transportation facilities, and interact with clients, agencies, and stakeholders to develop design alternatives. The role emphasizes teamwork, problem-solving, and delivering quality engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Help plan and develop designs for transportation facilities for private, commercial, and public sector clients.
• Collaborates with clients, utility companies, government agencies, and/or the general public to identify project constraints and develop design alternatives and concepts for transportation improvement projects.
• Develops and presents design study reports in accordance with government agency criteria.
• Prepares plans, specifications, and engineer's estimates for construction of roadways, trails, airport surfaces, traffic signals, and non-motorized transportation systems.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Help plan and develop designs for transportation facilities for private, commercial, and public sector clients.
• Collaborates with clients, utility companies, government agencies, and/or the general public to identify project constraints and develop design alternatives and concepts for transportation improvement projects.
• Develops and presents design study reports in accordance with government agency criteria.
• Prepares plans, specifications, and engineer's estimates for construction of:
  • roadways, trails, airport surfaces, traffic signals, and non-motorized transportation systems.
  • roadway/airport resurfacing and rehabilitation projects.
  • Collects traffic data and performs traffic studies and analysis.
  • Works with permitting agency staff to meet local code requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Familiarity with Municipality of Anchorage, State of Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Licensed engineer-in-training.
• Proficient AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work in a team environment with multi-discipline engineering staff at various experience levels.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to travel to various project sites.
• Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas.
