The role supports a multi-market practice—Municipalities, DoD, rail and transit, and private developers—through site design, utilities, and infrastructure projects. A BS in Civil Engineering (ABET) and 3–5 years of experience are required; InRoads proficiency is mandatory.

Its market segment focus includes DOD and Federal Programs, Regional Transportation, Municipalities, Utility Agencies, Port Authorities, Rail and Transit, Educational Institutions, Medical Facilities, and Private Developers. Their experienced professionals work collaboratively to provide engineering services that include Civil, Water/Wastewater, Structural, and Construction Support. They are looking to hire an experienced Civil Engineer to join their team of managers, engineers, and designers, representing the industry's top talent in Orange, CA. Note: Experience with MicroStation InRoads is a mandatory requirement for this position. Candidates without MicroStation InRoads experience will not be considered.

Duties and responsibilities: The position performs general civil engineering work under the direct supervision of a project manager for clients the company serves in various markets. The position will apply fundamental engineering training, knowledge, and experience to deliver all tasks and all different project types including engineering studies and site investigation reports; land development designs; preparation of Basis of Design (BOD); preparation of fully designed plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E), and other engineering reports, cost estimates, and construction support. Typical clients served include Municipalities, Dod agencies, private developers, and other public and private organizations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The selected candidate will support the efforts of a Project Manager in team supervision and execution of various projects including: Site Engineering Design associated with buildings and parking Street improvement design Pavement rehabilitation Rough and precise grading plans Storm design and drainage calculations Potable and reclaimed waterlines design Sewer pipe design Flood control improvements Freeway and interchange improvements Specifications Utility coordination Permit processing Proficiency in MicroStation InRoads is critical for performing these duties. Experience using InRoads for civil site design, roadway geometry, grading, utilities, and rail/transit infrastructure projects- particularly for METRO rail and underground station projects is essential.

Qualifications: Team leadership Preferred Knowledge of public works and DoD agency processes Strong proficiency in MicroStation InRoads is required Additional software skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam Excellent writing and communication skills Ability to prepare engineering reports with the guidance of a project manager or senior individual.

Education & Experiences: A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college (ABET) is required. Minimum of 3-5 years of civil engineering experience EIT License preferred Experience working with DoD agencies like the Navy will be considered a plus.
