Job summary

Thomas & Hutton in Columbia, SC is seeking a Civil Engineer to prepare site development drawings for mission critical and data center projects, and to design water, sewer, storm drainage, and underground utilities. You will develop engineering considerations and supporting calculations, and prepare reports and permit documents.

You will model infrastructure in AutoCAD Civil 3D, review work for quality, and coordinate with clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months (PE path preferred).
• 3+ years of experience designing land development projects using Civil 3D.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software applications.
• Experience with surface modeling and underground utility design preferred.
• Interest or experience in plan and profile design of water/sewer systems; duct bank design experience a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to engage in client interactions.
• Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and appropriately prioritize workflow.

On-site: Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; Friday 7:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
