Thomas & Hutton in the Southeast seeks a civil engineer to design land-development projects, collaborate with mentors, and help communities grow. You’ll design, model, and coordinate with clients and internal teams on-site using Civil 3D and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• 3+ years designing land-development projects using Civil 3D.
• EIT or PE registration preferred (or ability to obtain PE within one year).
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Client-service mindset and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare site-development construction drawings for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Design water, sewer, and storm-drainage infrastructure using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Develop engineering design considerations and support permitting efforts for land-development projects.
• Coordinate regularly with clients, project managers, and internal discipline teams.
• Produce and refine models in Civil 3D, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to project standards.
• Manage tasks to meet scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
