Job summary
Giga Energy in the United States is seeking a Civil Engineer to contribute to the full lifecycle of our site development projects, from feasibility through construction execution. You will support site assessments, design development, and compliance activities under mentorship from senior engineers.
The ideal candidate has hands-on CAD skills and is comfortable working both at the desk and on construction sites.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- 2-4 years of experience in land development, industrial construction, or data center infrastructure.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, or similar BIM software.
- Working knowledge of hydrology, soil mechanics, and reinforced concrete design.
- PE license preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing site layouts, including grading plans and drainage systems.
- Conduct site assessments and gather geotechnical data for viability studies.
- Research and apply local zoning laws and building codes; support permitting with agencies.
- Contribute to project schedules and budgets; assist with vendor coordination.
- Support structural calculations for equipment housing (pads, heavy infrastructure).
- Perform site inspections to verify construction alignment with specs and safety standards.
