Responsibilities include:

• Serving as the district's bridge structural analysis engineer and coordinator for the automated permit routing and analysis system.
• Evaluating plans for bridge and structural projects, including multi-span concrete and steel structures, as well as simpler structures like culverts and single-span bridges.
• Conducting engineering calculations to establish and recommend safe load limits.
• Providing repair recommendations based on inspection reports.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, hours from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Potential for part-time telework after a successful probation period, requiring a secure high-speed internet connection and an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If telework isn't possible, reporting to the Montoursville office is an option.
• Salary may be non-negotiable in some cases.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of five years of civil engineering experience in the relevant specialty and an Engineer-in-Training certificate, or
• Successful completion of the Civil Engineer Trainee training program, or
• Four years of experience plus an associate’s degree in civil engineering technology or related field, or
• One year of experience plus a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
