Job summary

FEI in Arden, NC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in civil engineering to support land development projects. You will work with Project Managers to keep schedules and budgets on track, while applying AutoCAD Civil 3D for grading, drainage, and utility design.

You will coordinate with clients and agencies, prepare plans and reports, and assist with permitting and document management. A ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree and 2+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 2+ years of land development experience.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Clear communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Project Managers to deliver accurate, high-quality land development projects.
• Help keep projects on track by supporting schedules, budgets, and overall performance.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to design grading and erosion control plans, water/sewer/stormwater systems.
• Coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies to move projects through approvals.
• Prepare plans, reports, specifications, and construction documents; assist with permitting.
