An established industry player is seeking a Resident Engineer to lead civil infrastructure projects in Illinois. Deliver construction phase engineering services to support civil infrastructure projects for the Illinois Tollway, IDOT, and various county and municipal clients. You will serve as the lead inspector or engineer for large civil engineering projects, interpreting construction plans, verifying measurements, and maintaining project documentation and daily reports. Address unexpected conditions and develop solutions with the team, prepare reports, plans, specifications, and permit applications, and work with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve issues. Guide and ensure safety protocols for less experienced staff.
This position is open due to upcoming retirement of two senior team members. The role involves reporting to the Construction Team Lead and working with a team of approximately six individuals. The position is based in the Oak Brook office, where all construction and environmental staff are located, and focuses primarily on IDOT and tollway phase three projects. This is a full-time, in-person role requiring attendance five days a week at the Oak Brook office. The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $145000.00/yr.
