Job summary

RS&H in Tampa, FL is seeking a Civil Engineer to lead multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, and delivery of aviation and civil infrastructure projects. You will contribute to business development, client relationships, and mentoring junior staff in the Tampa Aviation team.

The role requires ownership of design quality, coordination across disciplines, and travel to client sites regionally. ABET-accredited degree and PE licensure or progress toward it are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Minimum of 5 years of civil engineering experience, including at least 2 years in civil engineering project design.
• Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Demonstrated experience managing aviation or transportation infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee stormwater, utility infrastructure, and pavement design and assessments
• Manage construction support services, including construction management and inspection
• Lead and coordinate large, multi-disciplinary design teams

• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
• Maintain and grow client relationships with local and national aviation partners

We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer to join our expanding Tampa, FL office. This is a dynamic leadership opportunity to work on a wide range of civil and aviation-related infrastructure projects, including local assignments for the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority (HCAA) and large-scale airport initiatives across the country.

Role Summary

As a Civil Engineer, you’ll lead multidisciplinary teams through all phases of planning, design, and delivery of complex projects. You’ll play a key role in business development, project execution, and client relationship management—while also helping to mentor junior staff and contribute to the growth of our Tampa Aviation team.

• Plan, design, and manage a variety of aviation and civil infrastructure projects

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to travel to client sites throughout the region
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with City of Tampa (CoT), Hillsborough County, Plant City, FDOT, FAA, and local permitting agencies
• Familiarity with civil engineering design, site development, and utility coordination
• Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D and related engineering software
