Accentuate Staffing is working with an established civil engineering consultancy in Raleigh, NC, to add an experienced Civil Engineer. This role offers visible ownership of site-development projects and direct client interaction from early planning through construction documents.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on site/civil design with practical project leadership, mentoring junior staff, coordinating with clients and subconsultants, and delivering high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution; 5+ years of progressive site/civil design experience.
• Experience across retail, commercial, public-sector, and residential projects is preferred.
• Proficiency in local entitlement and permitting processes; ability to coordinate with reviewing agencies.

Responsabilités

• Lead site/civil projects from planning and proposal through design, permitting, and construction-document delivery.
• Serve as a primary client contact, communicate progress and risks, coordinate solutions, and maintain responsive working relationships.
• Direct project assignments, schedules, budgets, invoicing, estimates, and subconsultant coordination to support timely delivery.
• Prepare, review, and quality-check site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, erosion-control designs and supporting calculations.
• Guide entitlement and permitting activities with local jurisdictions, including zoning approvals and site plans.
• Mentor junior team members and support proposals and client development.

Accentuate Staffing is working with an established civil engineering consultancy that is adding an experienced Civil Engineer in North Carolina. This opportunity offers visible ownership of site-development projects, direct client interaction, and the chance to guide work from early planning and approvals through construction documentation while helping a growing team deliver high-quality results. The ideal candidate combines hands-on site/civil design with practical project leadership. This person will manage schedules and budgets, mentor junior staff, coordinate with clients and subconsultants, and produce or review work involving Civil 3D, grading, drainage, stormwater, water and sewer utilities, erosion control, and local entitlement and permitting requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead site/civil projects from planning and proposal development through design, permitting, approvals, and construction-document delivery.
• Serve as a primary client contact, communicate progress and risks, coordinate solutions, and maintain responsive working relationships.
• Direct project assignments, schedules, budgets, invoicing, estimates, and subconsultant coordination to support accurate, timely delivery.
• Prepare, review, and quality-check site layouts, grading, drainage, stormwater, utility, and erosion-control designs and supporting calculations.
• Guide entitlement and permitting activities with local jurisdictions, including zoning-related approvals, site plans, and construction documents.
• Mentor junior team members and support proposals, professional events, community involvement, and ongoing client development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution and at least five years of progressive site/civil design experience.
• Demonstrated work across a mix of retail, commercial, public-sector, and residential projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of site layout, grading, storm drainage, stormwater management, water and sewer utilities, and erosion control.
• Working knowledge of local entitlement and permitting processes and the ability to coordinate effectively with reviewing agencies.
• Required proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D; experience with Hydraflow Storm Sewers/Hydrographs, WaterCAD, and Microsoft Excel is valuable.
• Clear written and verbal communication, careful QA/QC habits, team leadership ability, sound judgment, and a proactive client-service mindset.
