Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Phoenix team for land development, public infrastructure, and municipal projects across Arizona. You will lead design efforts, coordinate with agencies, and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Ideal candidates have 4–10 years in civil engineering, proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and strong communication skills. Hybrid work flexibility, healthcare, PTO, and ESOP opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • PE license preferred or ability to obtain.
  • 4-10 years of civil engineering experience.
  • Experience in land development, public works, municipal infrastructure, or related civil engineering projects.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Strong understanding of grading, drainage, utility, and site design principles.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and oversee civil engineering designs for land development and public infrastructure projects.
  • Design grading, drainage, utility, roadway, site development, and stormwater management improvements.
  • Perform engineering calculations, technical analyses, and feasibility evaluations.
  • Develop plans, specifications, reports, and construction documents.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to prepare project deliverables.
  • Assist with entitlement, permitting, and agency review processes.
  • Coordinate with municipalities, utility providers, architects, planners, surveyors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Support project managers in developing project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Participate in client meetings and project presentations.
  • Monitor project milestones and maintain quality standards throughout project execution.
  • Work closely with project managers and senior engineers to successfully deliver projects.
  • Mentor EITs and junior engineers through technical guidance and training.
  • Participate in internal quality control reviews and technical development initiatives.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and team-focused work environment.

Position Overview

We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our growing Phoenix team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of land development, public works, and municipal infrastructure projects throughout Arizona. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions while taking ownership of project design, client coordination, and project execution.

Engineering & Design
