Job summary

Jobot is seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join our Kearney office and contribute to a wide range of municipal infrastructure projects across Nebraska.

You will design civil engineering plans, perform calculations, prepare reports and bids, and collaborate with clients and regulators while supporting grant applications. This role offers competitive base pay and robust benefits, including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and retirement options.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and design fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or equivalent design software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop civil engineering plans and construction documents for municipal infrastructure projects including water supply systems, wastewater systems, stormwater management, transportation, and site development.
  • Perform engineering calculations, hydraulic and hydrologic analyses, and technical studies in support of project design.
  • Prepare project reports, specifications, cost estimates, and bid documents.
  • Provide construction observation and administration support to ensure projects are built in accordance with plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, subconsultants, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist with grant and funding applications in support of community infrastructure initiatives.
  • Collaborate with surveyors, planners, and architects across disciplines to deliver comprehensive project solutions.

What You Will Do
