Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
• California PE license or reciprocal license within 6 months.
• 5–10 years of civil transportation project experience after graduation.
• Experience delivering PS&E bid packages for transportation projects.
• Experience with Civil 3D, MicroStation or AutoCAD and related design software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our client is currently seeking a high caliber Civil Transportation Engineer for a long-term basis within our client’s team of experienced professionals. Based in central Orange County, CA.

The Transportation Engineer will assist with a range of civil engineering tasks, guiding projects from initial concept to preliminary engineering, and from final design through construction. You will perform engineering work and exercise independent judgment

Job Requirements

• Execute engineering tasks for the planning, design, and construction of transportation projects
• Produce detailed roadway/structure designs, design calculations, technical reports, and PS&E for transportation facilities
• Coordinate with internal disciplines, utility companies, subconsultants, resource agencies, and clients

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field
• California Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain a reciprocal license within 6 months
• 5-10 years of civil transportation project experience after graduation
• Success in delivery of PS&E bid packages for transportation projects
• Understanding of multi-disciplinary team coordination, compilation of design and construction documents, and local agency and Caltrans design standards and practices
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications and transportation design software, including Civil 3D, MicroStation, or AutoCAD
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to work in a team environment
• Commitment to delivering quality work products and superior service to clients
